Derry City Council – iphone Mobile Application for What’s On Derry-Londonderry
biznet IIS were commissioned to create an iPhone application for ‘Derry~Londonderry’ - a new ‘What’s On’ guide website for Derry City Council.
Client Requirements:
Derry City Council required a supplier who could design, develop and implement a new website and supporting mobile platform for the Derry~Londonderry “What’s On” guide. The application needed to:
- Consolidate the raft of entertainment information available from numerous websites
- Provide greater accessibility to information for citizens and tourists alike
- Provide a model for sustainability in the long term through ongoing engagement/ involvement of the city’s entertainment and cultural venues
biznet IIS developed an extremely user friendly iphone application interface and direct access to ‘What’s on’ information. All activity on the iPhone application (search, registrations, content publication) synchronizes effortlessly.

iPhone Application Features:
The application provides several search features with the option to drill down to view detailed event information. It also provides the end user with the ability to interact and share information by email and through social media platforms such as Facebook and Twitter.
The iPhone application has 4 main sections; Upcoming Events, Categories, Featured Events & Search page.
