Public Achievement
Biznet IIS was commissioned by an existing client – Public Achievement – to carry out a complete website redesign including an upgrade and extension to the existing CMS functionality – incorporating emerging Web 2.0 technologies.
The Brief
This project was awarded as Public Achievement completed a complete corporate rebrand. Therefore it was vital that Biznet IIS worked carefully within the branding guidelines provided. By respecting the new brand and partnering carefully with the creative design house, Biznet IIS was able to design and develop an exciting, enticing and contemporary new website design concept for Public Achievement.
The existing Public Achievement website contained a limited amount of content management within key sections. As part of the new project content management was to be made available to all sections of the website. Much more freedom was to be offered to existing experienced users for management of page templates and structures. In addition by incorporating many Web 2.0 technologies such as Blogs, Wikis, Forums and Media galleries, Public Achievement not only wanted to distribute website content creation to their staff but also to online members in the form of user generated content.

The Results
The Public Achievement project was delivered well within the 10 week project timeline and within the agreed project cost. Working closely in conjunction with Public Achievement and a 3rd Party branding agency Biznet IIS delivered an extremely attractive, enticing, user friendly website design.
The delivered project on the Kentico CMS offers Public Achievement much greater scope for creation, management and amendment of website information architecture, content, structure and layouts. This additional functionality has been delivered in an extremely user friendly environment and includes workflows, auditing and version control.
One main objective of the redesign was to increase the level of user interactivity with Public Achievement. By engaging the target audience online – it was hoped that numbers attending the organisations’ workshops, training days and knowledge centres would also be increased. In both cases, largely due to the careful user centred approach to website design on the home page and throughout the website, Public Achievement have seen the level of conversions to mutually agreed goals within the website (e.g. publication downloads / forum contributions / blog comments / subscriptions etc.) soar. This has been recognised by Paul Smyth – Director of Public Achievement.
One key element of the success of the Public Achievement project was the integration of Clicktracks Web Analytics. By studying the data delivered by Clicktracks during usability tests, Biznet IIS were able to deliver evidence to Public Achievement which supported proposals to make numerous amendments to the initial design. These amendments were carried out and it was noted that almost immediately, user conversions to the defined and agreed goals increased considerably. Web Analysis data is regularly monitored to ensure that a process of continuous improvement is adhered to.
