Biznet IIS were appointed as the Digital Partner for Strangford Lough to develop the Destination Strangford website – a portal to assist in the development of tourism related revenues in the region in line with the NI Tourist Board Strategy for 2020.
The strategic partnership sees biznet IIS, one of Ireland’s largest communications and technologies agencies, delivering a wide-ranging digital strategy on behalf of the Destination Strangford brand, spanning strategy, research, web design & build, user experience, technical development, content and social media.
Biznet IIS have worked in partnership with Down District Council and Ards Borough Council to devise a next-generation digital solution built on the Kentico CMS that enhances the way in which visitors plan to Play / Rewind / Pause / Relax , creating a rich and engaging user experience which best showcases the Strangford region to its full potential.
NI Tourist Board wish to see the local authorities play a full part in the delivery of the development of these areas as tourist destinations within Northern Ireland. Strangford Lough was designated as an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and covering an area of 28,010 hectares, it is an almost landlocked inlet of the of sea set within a diverse lowland topography.
Integrating the Play / Rewind / Pause / Relax concept throughout the portal has created an easy to use and highly intuitive solution for the public, with visitor engagement within the site growing month on month.
