This seemed the best way to shake off his GCSE cobwebs of the last two months!
After the World Championships, in August, following the Leinster and Irish Junior Championships, he travels to Scotland for the UK Nationals in Largs, where he aims to improve on the 6th he achieved in 2005, when he had only been in the Laser for four months. This year’s full Irish championship will be held much closer to home, in Ballyholme in Bangor at the end of August, and Barry will be hoping his experience at that venue will contribute to his retention of his Irish national Laser 4.7 title.
Adrian Bradley from Biznet commented, “We are a successful company in a vibrant industry, who wanted to support a young athlete in a physically and mentally challenging sport, which crosses age, gender and social boundaries. Barry has greatly surpassed our expectations in the first year of our relationship. We have considerably expanded our support for him in 2006 by purchasing a brand new boat to help him in his Irish, UK, and Europeans/Worlds campaigns. I am looking forward to seeing the Biznet Solutions brand associated with even more success in the future.”
