Resilient Network Services from biznetIIS

The biznetIIS Data Centre is located in Telephone House in the heart of Belfast. The centre offers cost-effective content accommodation facilities, within a state of the art secure facility, managed by the latest support and management tools.
The security of the physical environment is matched by the digital protection employed. All servers are installed behind firewalls. These firewalls provide first line security for a client platform and are interconnected via a fail over link.
ConnectivityOverview
The biznetIIS BT Data Centre connects, via a Btnet Flex circuit, to the N. Ireland Interconnection point for the Colossus Network. The provision of Btnet Flex technology permits adjustment of bandwidth to quickly accommodate either expected or unexpected periods of high utilisation.
The Colossus Network provides the core Internet Protocol Backbone throughout the UK and onward connection to the rest of the world. The bandwidth of the UK backbone, 2.4Gb, is provided via resilient infrastructure.
InternetSecurity
BiznetIIS takes Internet security very seriously and therefore ensures all expertise and experiences are passed on to our customers' platforms.
All servers are installed behind firewalls. These firewalls provide first line security for your platform. In order to maintain the integrity of the firewalls it is important to control the access points across the wall with rules and regulations that are constantly monitored managed and updated by our systems monitoring team.
Environment
The biznetIIS BT Data Centre, in which your servers would be located, has been designed with no single point of failure.
A UPS system provides the essential power during the period between the mains failing and the generator starting-up. All of this is housed in facilities supported by air-conditioned systems that control the computer suite to within 2ºC of 22ºC.
Further security enhancements include the electronic access control system, incorporating leading-edge iris scan technology, internal CCTV and fire, flood and gas detection systems.
Operations
Operations continue seven days per week, 24 hours per day, with normal support desk services during Monday-Friday 08:00-18:00.
Outside normal working hours biznetIIS offers an on-call service, whereby BiznetIIS engineers respond within one hour.
Monitoring
All primary services on all shared servers, and co-located servers belonging to clients are continuously monitored to ensure rapid response to any faults, which may occur. Primary services consist of network availability, operating system, web servers, email servers, database servers and any other application software or server function which has been identified to biznetIIS as mission critical.
Monitoring feedback is provided to biznetIIS technical support staff via email and paging services 24 hours per day, 7 days per week. Uptime and performance statistics are available.
The target uptime for primary services is 99.8% each month (corresponding to no more than a downtime of 1.5 hours in a calendar month). This uptime refers to availability of all network, hardware and software applications that Biznet manages for the client.
